To all who belong to a liberal faith community or are Wican, atheist, agnostic, satanists or just angry and upset about the US becoming a theocracy . .
I encourage each of you to likewise work with our local, state and natioanl level reproductive freedom groups to work on two goals:
1) Support Jewish leaders who are planning to fight against the SCOTUS abortion decision on the basis of religious discrimination. Help in any way needed, including amicus briefs.
2) Maintain a list of providersto and set up a fund through whatever local organization (liberal faith community, Indivisible) toassist interstate travelers to obtain abortions. If you are in a blue state, set up a statewide database of those who can offer overnight accommodations.
As we all know the recent SCOTUS decision will cause the greatest negative impact on the least affluent among us. It always has. We need to protect the rights of all women in need!
We cannot allow this erosion of religious freedom we fought a Revolutionary War over. The US is not a Chritgain nation. If your faith teaches you that abortion is muder - don't get one and preach against it in your churches. But don't force your patriarchal, outdated, Draconian, misogynist beliefs on the rest of us.
We need to do more than sign petitions and march. We need or organize REAL solutions, not unlike the underground railroad.
