Shown above is the first of what I want to make as a series which celebrates the Elements, each in turn. Others will feature my interpretations of Air, Earth, Fire, and Spirit. I'm not sure yet which will be next; I'm inclined to focus on Earth. Fire will probably be the most challenging, as my relationship with Fire feels rather conflicted these days. There are things I need to think about and sort out for myself first. There's no reason to rush. I can take my time. "Fire" has the potential to be a healing exercise for me, following the experience of the Cornville fire.
Some weeks ago my kids found more bones, and brought them home for me. No skull this time, but large leg bones in fairly good shape. After cleaning up and a soak in hydrogen peroxide, I've selected one to have fun with. I'm thinking that I'll paint it in a style similar to the goat skull.
Thank you for reading this, and for looking at my work. It's appreciated.
